Skiing in Dobbiaco

1 chair lift and 2 ski lifts at the Ski Center Rienza Dobbiaco make for pleasant skiing on a total of 4 km of easy to medium pistes. The “Trenker” piste offers perfect conditions for new talents and expert skiers. Small children are welcome in the children’s park with a magic carpet and mini ski lift. On several days children go on a “Fun for Kids” treasure hunt full of play, excitement and a fast snowmobile ride.


Already in last years extensive work was carried out to expand and improve the offer:

- More comfort and faster transport times thanks to the modernisation and renewal of the Trenker lift;

- More safety and fun thanks to the widening of the “Trenker” ski piste. The partition of the piste guarantees comfortable skiing and snowboarding alongside training runs by local and national skiing teams;

- New services building
- Heated changing room,
- Day care for small children and much more!

The old three-seater chairlift in the ski area Rienza was replaced with a new family-friendly and, above all, child-friendly ski lift. This means that even the little ones can use the ski lift without any problem and without danger when not accompanied by an adult. Free ride for even more fun on the slopes!

Skiing in Dobbiaco offers plenty of fun in the heart of the three skiing regions 3 Zinnen Dolomites, Plan de Corones and Cortina.

3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort with over 115 km of pistes: Take the train from Dobbiaco to Versciaco/Monte Elmo and continue by cable car up the Monte Elmo, which has a direct ski and cable car link from Monte Elmo to the Croda Rossa.
For families we recommend the family friendly skiing mountain “Baranci” near San Candido, with its large children’s play park, kids ski cross track and toboggan run.

There are also perfect train links to the Plan de Corones: Every 30 minutes the train takes you from Dobbiaco to Perca-Plan de Corones (Ried) and from there by revolving chair lift to the Plan de Corones. For skiing fun in both skiing regions you need the combination ski ticket 3 Peaks Dolomites and Plan de Corones or the ski pass Dolomiti Superski. You can obtain your train tickets free of charge from your host, provided they are members of the tourist association.

After a 30 minute journey by car or bus you reach the former Olympic town of Cortina with the well known “Pista Olympia”. The cable cars Cristallo, Tofana, 5 Torri and Val Faloria also lead to very good pistes.
