Prags / Braies stretches into the Pragser Tal valley and nestles in the Prags/Braies Dolomites. A large part of the parish is situated in the nature park Fanes-Senes-Prags. The landscape is shaped by the most varied karst formations: Grooves and crevices, depressions, fissures and Dolomite basins create a diverse landscape in winter and in summer. At the head of the valley is Pragser Wildsee lake (1494 m), which is overshadowed by the Seekofel peak (2810 m). A further highlight of nature is the Plätzwiese, a high plateau of fascinating beauty with stunning views.

Lake Lago di Braies is the largest natural lake in the Dolomites and a particularly idyllic spot you just have to visit during your holiday in Valle di Braies. A boat trip across the lake is highly recommended.
Plätzwiese high plateau
The Prato Piazza is a jewel at an altitude of 2,000 meters, with a unique panoramic view of the surrounding mountains Picco Vallandro, the Croda Rossa, Monte Cristallo and Tofane. From the middle of November onwards cross country ski tracks tempt you to workouts in high altitude.
